3/15/21 - FFA officers celebrated National Agriculture Literacy Week (March 15-19, 2021) by reading a book and making "ice cream in a bag" with Groton kindergarten classrooms.

11/4/20 - Groton's ag. program has started our rabbitry with the donation of a buck and two doe Japanese Harlequin Rabbits.

Students collaborate with Cornell on Barley Breeding Project

10/21/20 - Groton's Agricultural Science students are collaborating with Cornell University and Oregon State University on a naked barley breeding project (https://barleyworld.org/). Students are breeding and selecting their very own line of naked barley, an easy to thresh barley that is intended for human consumption.

FFA students harvest their pumpkin patch

9/25/20 - It was a dry season, but we still had a great harvest! 19 students and several volunteers harvested several wagon and pickup truck loads of pumpkins. They are for sale (for a suggested donation) at three locations in our community (top of Sovocool Hill, Howard Farm on rt. 222, & Space Farm on Salt Rd.).
